I've been enjoying making my own visualts to accompany my music for a number of years now. I've adopted a mixed media collage style, searching for vintage magazines and photography books to use in my works. In 2023 I created a stop motion music video for my single 'Goodnight', using over 2500 individual photos. This was nominated for the Youth Music Awards music video category in 2024. Eager to learn more, I made a successful application for the Arts Council Develop Your Creative Practice grant to explore how to integrate visuals into my work further. This resulted in being self-suffient to create my own album cover for my debut album, a range of music video's and further explore stop motion for Spotify Canvas videos.

In ‘Goodnight’ George continues to explore his experiences of grief a few years down the line. The song and self-made stop-motion animated music video (containing over 2500 photos) takes us to lovely quiet moments before sleep where the line between reality and dreams blur, and memories take on new shapes with vivid imagination. The darker tones of the visuals in the verse represent literal memories and the moment before sleep, while the colourful psychedelic images represent the dream state after you drift off to sleep, death, or watever you believe in.
