Bio

George Bloomfield is a producer and multi-instrumentalist, currently based in Leeds. George began his musical career playing regular Jazz and Blues residencies as part of duo ‘Tangerine Swing’, whilst living in the French alps. Two years later, George moved to Leeds to study audio engineering at university (BSc). During this time, the jazz duo continued playing high-profile function gigs around the UK, such as a birthday party for the Duchess of Rutland. Meanwhile, George was also performing as part of a big band and was musical director for a 9-piece funk, neo-soul band regularly gigging original music around Leeds and beyond. More recently, George has turned his focus to recording and producing music from his home studio, writing both for a solo music project and for TV and film. His self-produced solo project draws on a wide range of influences and is recognisable for his signature live brass and string arrangements. His first production albums have already secured him placements across BBC television and radio, Channel 4, BTSport and NBC, whilst he has just finished the recent documentary “Journey to the East”.
