Composer, producer, sound designer and multi-instrumentalist

George Bloomfield composes music for TV, film and immersive productions across a wide range of styles. His work is regularly featured on the BBC, Channel 4 and NBC, as well as international advertisement campaigns for brands including Domino’s and Boots. He has regularly worked with cross-disciplinary arts company Trigger. Notable projects include The Hatchling — an outdoor theatre spectacle featuring a dragon puppet the size of a double-decker bus (from the creators of War Horse) that soars above audiences.

George holds a First-Class degree in Audio Engineering (BSc) and an MA in Music Production (Distinction), expertise he brings into his projects through detailed, inventive sound design.

As an artist in his own right, George blends indie, jazz, funk and psych into a distinctive sound, drawing comparisons to Khruangbin, Mac DeMarco and KOKOROKO. His music has received support from BBC Radio 6 Music, BBC Radio 2 and Selector Radio, amassing over 7 million streams to date. With his seven-piece band, he has performed at festivals including The Great Escape and Live at Leeds, as well as selling out headline shows.​ His debut album, Now & Then (released October 17th, 2025)  is available as a limited vinyl release.

George is also a recipient of Youth Music’s 'Next Gen' Fund and the Arts Council’s 'Develop Your Creative Practice' grant, supporting his ongoing film and music collaborations.
