Composer, producer, sound designer and multi-instrumentalist

George Bloomfield is a composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist writing music for TV and film in a range of styles. His music is featured regularly across BBC, Channel 4 and NBC television amongst others. He has been a composer/sound designer  for a number of feature films, as well as a number of touring immersive shows with the cross-disciplinary arts company Trigger, including 'The Hatchling' - an outdoor theatre experience where a dragon puppet (from the creators of War Horse) the size of a double decker bus flies over the audience. He also has a 1st class degree in Audio Engineering and an MA in Music Production (Distinction) and often uses this knowledge for creative sound design in his projects.

He also releases his own music that is heavily backed by BBC Introducing, drawing from a wide range of influences and recognisable for his signature live brass and string arrangements. Recently signed to Nice Guys Records, his recent EP 'Space Between' was featured twice on the Spotify 'Fresh Finds Jazz' editorial playlist, and was performed live in session for BBC Introducing. Currently a recipient of the 'Next Gen' Youth Music fund for a film/music documentary collaboration, for which he will compose and co-direct. He is currently nominated for the Music Video Category at this years Youth Music Awards. 

George was recently awarded the Arts Council 'Develop Your Creative Practice' grant in order to further explore how he can integrate visuals with his music.
